Remote Bookkeepers LLC is a US remote bookkeeping firm, founded by Usama, with an offshore team he leads. We keep monthly books, run payroll and prepare tax filings for small businesses, inside your own QuickBooks Online or Xero. Fees are fixed, from $150 a month, and you can cancel any time.

Usama runs Remote Bookkeepers and leads the bookkeeping team behind it. He has spent five years in US small-business bookkeeping, and in that time his team has kept books for founders, online sellers, contractors and service businesses. Every client gets one named contact who knows their file, not a ticket queue.

This record is Usama’s and his team’s, built before Remote Bookkeepers LLC was formed in September 2026. The company is new; the people doing the work are not.

Who does the work, and where. A US company, an offshore team.

We would rather you read it here than work it out three months in.

In the US

Remote Bookkeepers LLC

The company you hire

  • Your contract and your invoices
  • A US phone line, (906) 268-9778
  • Cover Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm EST
  • Responsible for every piece of work

Offshore

The bookkeeping team, led by Usama

The people who keep your books

  • Your books, categorized and reconciled every month
  • Your reports, by the 5th of each month
  • The monthly review call on Growth and Scale
  • QuickBooks & Xero certified

Same work, a lower cost base. A US firm pays US salaries and prices to match. Our team does the same bookkeeping without that overhead, which is why our fees start at $150 a month. See bookkeeping pricing.

  • Tax information, only with your consent

US rules require your written consent before tax return information goes to a preparer outside the United States. We ask for it in writing first, and you can decline.

  • The work stays in your software

We work inside your own QuickBooks Online or Xero, with the access you give us. Your records never move into a system of ours.

  • No funds, no banking passwords

We never hold your money, and we never ask for your banking passwords.

If having the work done outside the US does not suit your business, say so on the first call. We would genuinely rather you knew now. Book a free consultation (opens in a new tab)

How we work, from the first call to every month after.

  1. A short call and a look

We learn how you sell, spend and pay people, look at the file, and confirm one fixed monthly fee.

  2. Set up, and catch up

You add us as your accountant, and we map your accounts and feeds. If the books are behind or wrong, that is quoted first as a fixed price.

  3. The monthly cycle

Every transaction categorized and every account reconciled to its statement.

  4. Reports and answers

A profit and loss and balance sheet by the 5th of each month, your named contact by email, and a review call on Growth and Scale.

Usually live within a week of the first call. Catch-up work takes longer when the books are far behind. Before you commit, read our published bookkeeping pricing and start with a free books review.

Your part is small

  • Keep bank and card feeds connected, or send statements.
  • Answer our questions when something does not add up.
  • Tell us about anything new: a loan, a big purchase, a new account.

Old-fashioned about accuracy. Modern about tools.

Four principles behind every set of books we keep. The tools move fast; the judgment behind the books is human.

  • Accuracy first

Every number ties to a source, and reconciliations are done, not assumed. We would rather ask than guess.

  • Plain English

Reports you can read, and a person who explains what changed. No jargon, no ticket queue.

  • Responsive by default

One point of contact who knows your file, and a reply within one business day.

  • Current all year

Books kept up to date every month, so tax time starts from reconciled numbers instead of a year-end scramble.

Our service commitments, in writing.

What every client can hold us to, whichever package they are on. The same list sits on our pricing page.

Reports by the 5th
Your profit and loss, balance sheet and your tier’s other reports, by the 5th of each month.
Every account reconciled, every month
Each bank and card account matched to its statement before the month is closed.
Cancel any time
Effective immediately, with no notice period.
Fee changes agreed first
If your volume grows a lot, we talk first. Any change is agreed with you in advance and is usually small.
Access you control
You add us as your accountant from your own account, and you can remove us any time.

What we do not do: audits, review or compilation engagements, formal IRS representation, or paying your bills.

Honest about who we help best.

We would rather tell you up front than take on work we cannot do well.

A great fit if you…

  • Run a US small or growing business and want your books off your plate
  • Keep your books in QuickBooks Online, Xero or other cloud accounting software
  • Are behind, in a mess, or have never had proper monthly books
  • Want one accountable contact, not a rotating call center
  • Value accurate, on-time numbers over the rock-bottom price

Probably not the right fit if you…

  • Only want a once-a-year tax filing with no bookkeeping
  • Need an in-person bookkeeper in your office
  • Are shopping purely on price and not on accuracy
  • Are not ready to move your books onto cloud software
  • Have a handful of transactions a month and enjoy doing them yourself

Is an online bookkeeping firm legit, and how can I check you?

An online firm can be just as accountable as a local one, as long as you can check it. With us you can: read the prices first, get a free books review of your own file, keep your books in your own software, and remove our access whenever you like. None of it needs a contract.

Are you connected to other firms with similar names?

No. Remote Bookkeepers LLC (remotebookkeepersllc.com) is not affiliated with similarly named firms. If you are unsure who you are dealing with, check the web address, or call us on (906) 268-9778 or email hello@remotebookkeepersllc.com.

Editorial standards: how we write our guides.

How our bookkeeping guides are researched, dated, sourced and kept accurate.

  • Written by the Remote Bookkeepers team

Guides are published under the firm’s name. We do not invent authors, bios or personas.

  • Primary sources, linked

Tax and payroll rules come from the IRS, state agencies such as Michigan Treasury, and the law itself. We link the source next to the rule, not a summary of a summary.

  • Dated, so you know how fresh it is

Every guide shows a “Last reviewed” date. When a rule changes, we add a one-line note saying what changed, such as the 1099-NEC threshold moving from $600 to $2,000 for payments made in 2026.

  • Checked for accuracy

Figures, dates and thresholds are checked against their sources before a guide is published, again when a rule changes, and each January when the new tax year’s numbers arrive.

  • Corrections made openly

If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so on the guide. Spotted an error? Email hello@remotebookkeepersllc.com.

  • General information, not advice for your return

Guides explain how the rules work for most small businesses. For your own return or a decision with tax consequences, talk to your tax preparer.

Stop wondering if your books are right.

Two free ways to start. No obligation, no long-term contract.
